Techie looking for work? - [9:18 AM]
Here in the San Joaquin Valley it's tough to find great tech jobs. Pelco, where I've been for the past two years, is the cream of the crop. Since I started there I've seen giant changes within our organization, all for the good. We have a fantastic V.P. over our division and we reorganized the team a little over a year ago to better realize our goals. It's been interesting and quite challenging; I'm on my third project since arriving.
So what does that have to do with looking for work? Well, I'm glad you asked. We need rock stars. No, not the kind that stand on stage and perform to a crowd, we need the kind that command the machine. If things like Linux, C/C++, C# + .Net, Windows, TCP, UpNP, RTP, MPEG, H.264, HD, Graphics Pipelines, Media Storage, Kernel Development(Linux), Drivers, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, the list goes on and on and on, are up your alley we'd like to see your resume. Most of the devices we ship run on Linux, with our main viewing device being Windows based.
Our corporate headquarters are in Clovis, California, but we have a small camera group in Fort Collins, Colorado, a group in Orangeburg, New York, and a small office in Pleasanton, California.
If you're looking for a change and would like to try working on a complete digital video/security system drop me a line and I'll forward it to the right folks.
Thanks.
