Why is this news? - [12:52 PM]

ESPN: "Among major leaguers, though, just 8.2 percent were black players, down from 8.4 percent in 2006 and the lowest level in at least two decades." - So? Do we measure the number of white players in the NBA, or NFL? Statistics like this are nonsense. All it means is black folks are choosing to not play baseball, that's all. Does it really matter what color the player's skin is? Hey, I don't care if you're purple. I guess baseball needs something to distract from the steroid issue?
