Facebook, almost as bad as MySpace - [9:48 AM]

MySpace is a joke. It's a gathering place for people to hook up, show off their crappy "Look at me I'm so hot" pictures, and "design" the crappiest web pages on the face of the planet. I have one because the only way my children were getting a MySpace was to have Mom and Dad as a friend. No add as a friend, no MySpace. It's garbage.

Enter Facebook. I joined because it was "all the rage" and I'd hoped it would be something more than piece of junk MySpace. I'm not all that into it but I've slowly been adding friends and now that Kim is on it I thought I might as well check it once in a while. It doesn't really hold my attention, to date Twitter plus this weblog are all I really need.

So why is Facebook so bad? Glad you asked. This morning I was checking out my Facebook page and noticed Kim had "put an ornament on my tree." So I clicked the link only to be confronted a page reminiscent of a MySpace page. It was full of blinking buttons that looked horrible. Being the impatient person I am, I click the button that says "Continue" thinking it's what I should click. WRONGO! It took me to IQQuizapp.com, DO NOT VISIT that page. When you try to close the window you'll get a ton of message boxes saying things like "YOUR CRUSH MANTECA IS TRYING TO CONTACT YOU." You've got to be kidding?

Facebook must be desperate to accept crap advertising like that. It also makes them look like the new MySpace, which isn't a good comparison.
