Firestone Walker

Firestone Walker Union JackWashington Beer Blog: "To many of you this isn't a surprise. It hardly qualifies as news. However, several people have asked me lately about a new brand of beer they are seeing around the Seattle area - Firestone Walker. The Union Jack IPA, in particular. Most IPA aficionados that I've spoken with seem quite fond of the Union Jack. No doubt, it's a tasty brew. I recently drank it side-by-side with Hale's Super Goose and Terminal Gravity IPA. The Union Jack certainly held its own." - I'm a HUGE fan of RedHook Ale's. I've been drinking RedHook ESB for years and am also fond of their IPA (A.K.A. Ballard Bitter.) I'd heard great things about Firestone Walker DBA and gave it a try, I love it. While on vacation I tried a Firestone Walker Union Jack, it's absolutely fantastic. It's a great IPA and my new favorite. I had no clue it was owned by Anheuser-Busch, but as long as they continue to create great hand crafted beer I won't hold it against them. See update below, Firestone Walker is NOT owned by Anheuser-Busch.

Bottom line, give a Firestone Walker Union Jack a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

UPDATE, RETRACTION: Washington Beer Blog: "Today (Fri. July 31) we posted a story about Firestone Walker and referred to them as an Anheuser-Busch brand. This is not true and we are sorry for the confusion. "
