Great Mac Software Companies

I was asked recently "If you could work for any Mac software development company, who would it be?"

Well, that's a really tough question. Here's a list of companies I have a ton of respect for. Some are small, mom and pop type shops, others are computing giants.

Here they are, in no particular order...

• Apple - The mother ship, need I say more?


• Adobe - Still a great Mac shop.


• FileMaker - Mac database specialists.


• Red Sweater - Makers of the software I use to publish this weblog, MarsEdit.


• Karelia - Can't keep 'em down. Creators of Sandvox.


• Delicious Monster - Creators of Delicious Library.


• Panic - Super creative group, well known for Coda and Transmit.


• The Icon Factory - Creators of Twitterrific, amongst other things.


• MacRabbit - Espresso, I love Espresso!


• Flying Meat Inc. - Wacky name, great software.


• The Omni Group - As close to Visio as you'll get on the Mac.


• Connected Flow - Great applications for photographers.
