The surprise gift...
-
[12:08 PM]
Yesterday Kim called to ask me if I'd ordered anything from ThinkGeek. No, I hadn't ordered anything, but a box from them had arrived none the less. I asked her to open it and surprise, surprise, surprise! Someone, unknown to me, sent me a sticker that reads "No I will not fix your computer" and a glass coffee mug with the caffeine molecule on the side. These are both items off of my ThinkGeek Wish List.
I'd like to say Thank You to the person that sent them, they were sent in the true spirit of Christmas, just like the wee babe sent to rescue a dying world over 2000 years ago. Unwarranted and undeserved. WOW!
Merry Christmas and God bless!

Sir Dumbledore?
-
[6:47 PM]
MuggleNet is reporting (sorry no permalink), along with many other sources, that Sir Ian McKellen is set to replace the late Richard Harris as everybody's favorite Hogwarts headmaster in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The other night when Kim and I were watching Minority Report we thought Max von Sydow would make a PERFECT Dumbledore.

Good mornin y'all! That's how us country folk say 'Hi!'
I didn't get any guesses this week, but what can you expect the day after Christmas. Everyone is out playing with their new toys!
Here's the answer... But you knew that, right?

Crickets...
-
[8:03 AM]
From the looks of it you'd think Richard Caetano sold his soul to Microsoft. He hasn't posted anything in quite a while, must be related to his new job change. Trying to get settled in I guess.
On the other hand Peter Drayton DID sell his soul to Microsoft. Do you hear crickets chirping?
Come on guys you can still write something once in a while, right? I know job changes can take a while to adjust to, especially in Peter's case. My first few weeks on the Microsoft campus, in early 1992, were fun, exciting, and confusing! The old buildings are like mazes. I haven't really been on campus in a very, very long time but I know it's beyond huge these days.
Wouldn't it be neat if you web site could actually collect dust and cobwebs?
P.S. - Yes the soul selling statement is in jest, don't get your knickers in a twist!

Cass McNutt's ThoughtsOnBusiness: "And yet, the other extreme perspective, which basically says "raising sheep is fighting wolves," is not only inaccurate, it's no way to live your life." - Cass is a man after my own heart. (Pssst Cass, where's the RSS file?)

Ok, the Christmas theme continues! Hey, it's only the day after Christmas.I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices; including in between my toes and in my belly button which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Merry Christmas Everybody!
-
[10:50 AM]

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." - Luke 2:9-12
