Movie line of the week answer - [10:03 AM]

We have a repeat winner this week. That hasn't happened too often, and yes I did get more than two guesses this week.

The Matrix movie posterOur winner and reigning champion is Tommy Williams who believes NewsGator is his competitive advantage. If you don't have an RSS reader you're probably never going to be the first to guess.

The correct answer is of course...

The Matrix

Mr. Anderson!

UPDATE: Had to share RC's answer to the line. Good one.

My-oh-my! - [9:58 AM]

I've shared here before my passion for softball. It's that time of year again, we've been playing since mid-March. Anywho I'm a big fan of Anderson bats and I decided to visit their site today to see if they had any info on their much rumored new stick. They do! It looks like it's going to be called TechZilla, woo-hoo!

Now all I have to do is convince my wife I need a new bat, that's not going to be easy. Maybe I can convince Anderson to co-sponsor us or something? Hmmmmm...

That's what I thought - [9:04 AM]

I see Steve Pilgrim had the same reaction as I did to last night's season finale of The West Wing.

Movie line of the week - [9:03 AM]

Last weeks movie line was a bit of a bust, two guesses, both correct. I don't really get that many to start with but I'd like to get at least ten at some point. So in honor of blockbuster summer I'm throwing EVERYBODY a bone. If all two visitors don't get this line I'll be shocked.

Hollywood!Ready, set, GO...

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here. You know this one, come on make a guess!

Cowboy Coffee? - [4:41 PM]

Hot Cup-O-Joe!Kim and I have discovered a new coffee shop here in Visalia, Mavericks Roasting. The shop is completely cowboy themed. There are cowboy movie posters on the walls and cowboy movies playing on a TV in the corner of the shop. The coffee is great and the folks very polite, pardner. There's something very unique in the shop, at least it's unique to me. They have what they call a coffee bar. Here's how it works. You ask for any type of coffee listed on their menu of coffees, they grind enough for your cup, drop a filter into a raised platform, place your mug/cup under the platform, and pour hot water through the filter. It's like a really FAST drip machine. The results are marvelous.

It located in the little strip mall on the north-east corner of Caldwell and Court in Visalia, CA. If you're from these parts drop by, grab a cup-o-joe, and sit a spell. I'm sure they'd be right pleased to have yer company.

Ok, I'm now very scared - [3:00 PM]

I visited Larry Staton, a site I haven't visited in a while, and my CD drive popped open! So I'm thinking it was some sort of weird anomaly, pushed the tray back in, and tried it again. IT DID IT AGAIN! Ok, time to View Source, and here's what I found...

Set oWMP = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX.7" )
Set colCDROMs = oWMP.cdromCollection

if colCDROMs.Count >= 1 then
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count - 1
colCDROMs.Item(i).Eject
Next ' cdrom
End If

So what the heck else can he control on this box?

Old friend - [11:04 AM]

Just got an e-mail from an old friend. Rob and I worked together during my one year stint at Frame/Adobe/Curo, yep the name changed that many times in a year! DOH!

Huh? - [10:06 AM]

A good friend dropped me a line this morning asking if I knew what this was? I don't have the slightest clue. Maybe it's some kind of archiving thing?

I noticed they removed the copyright I have at the bottom of my page.

Anyone have a clue what it is?

Weird couple of days - [10:02 AM]

I got a call Monday evening from my wife asking if I could scoot out early. Our oldest daughter was sick over the weekend with what we thought was the flu. Kim took her to the Doc on Monday and after checking her over made arrangements for her to be checked into a local hospital. The Doc thought her appendix was inflamed and all signs definitely pointed in that direction. But as he explained it's hard to be certain with women so he wanted to run some tests and make sure that wasn't it. To make a long story short she spent the night in the hospital and was discharged yesterday afternoon. She's doing just fine! Turns out it was a combination of a couple of common things that just wore her body down.

She's doing so well now she's back at school today.

Scoble in Redmond - [11:31 AM]

Now that Scoble is getting settled in Redmond I may finally be able to sit down and talk to him. I live in California but I'll be in Redmond May 29th & 30th for some classes and if things aren't too crazy maybe we could find a few minutes to talk.
