Odd Jobs? - [8:56 AM]

OddWorld Help Wanted PosterMan! I sure wish I'd paid attention in math! Smile, life is good!
Check out the job listing at OddWorld Inhabitants, then read some of their Inhabitants Interviews(I'm pointing you at the archive page), and tell me this wouldn't be a wonderful place to work?

Hey, OddWorld, would you create a job for a simpleton like me?

Have you noticed... - [8:50 AM]

Back when the first Star Wars movie was released George Lucas was responsible for moving back the opening date of the Blockbuster Season. Since then the new blockbusters have slowly begun to move the date back once again. I'm going to have to start making my Must See Summer Movie List in April now! Smile, life is good!

The reason I'm mentioning this is because I'd say Hellboy, Walking Tall, and Home on the Range all qualify as typical Blockbuster type movies.

Movie line of the week answer - [8:40 AM]

I know yesterday was April Fools, but the movie line was for real!

Alas, I received zero answers.

The correct answer is...

You know the one; big ape, Jeff Bridges, and Jessica Lange... Yeah, that's the one.

Two new discoveries - [12:54 PM]

Tuesday afternoon Kim and I took a short drive to a beautiful community in the foothills to our east, Three Rivers. We were there quite by accident because the place we'd originally decided to have lunch was closed. The next best choice was to head into Three Rivers and pick a spot to eat. We decided on the Main Fork Bistro, formerly know as the Noisy Water Cafe. Main Fork sits beside the river so you can hear the water passing by as you eat. In the summer they hang Humming bird feeders right outside the windows facing the river so you can enjoy Humming birds as well. Nice touch.

It's a definite keeper. We've decided we're going to spend more time in Three Rivers this summer. During the spring, in the evening, it reminds me of our time in the Northwest. Cool evenings, rustling trees, and the great smell of the forest surrounding it. It's a place we'd love to live, who knows, maybe someday we will. Smile, life is good!

Our second discovery was a nifty little web site development shop called Pomegranate Porch. Three Rivers is full of artists and artisans. It looks like at least one of them has branched out a little. Browse her gallery, maybe you'll find some interesting art to purchase.

Movie line of the week - [8:44 AM]

I was really struggling for a line this morning and for some reason the movie this line is from popped into my head.

Here ya go...

There is a girl out there who might be running for her life from some gigantic turned-on ape.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.
