Note to Dave
Hey Dave, if you happen across this and you have the time, visit Monorail Espresso on 5th and Pike downtown. Mmmmmmmmm good.
In fact you should attempt to spend some time in downtown Seattle. Most 'softies don't understand how wonderful it is because they spend so much time in Redmond(the center of the universe) they never have time to enjoy life.
Seattle is one of the greatest cities in the world, IMHO.
Why not hire Dave Winer?
Dave has been visiting Microsoft this week and it makes me wonder why Microsoft hasn't tried to hire him. I know he's VERY outspoken and critical of Microsoft, that's exactly why they should hire the guy.
His mind would change very quickly, or maybe he'd change some minds within Microsoft. Hire him, give him a small team dedicated to making the Frontier Kernel absolutely killer on Windows, and publish the results, kind of like Rotor. I think a good next step would be .NET'izing Frontier. Create a step by step guide to how the team made it hook into that world. I think it would be really nice for Radio and Manila users to have VSA built into the product. It would make it easier for most of the Windows development world to grasp customization of the products, IMHO.
So if Dave would do it, you should hire him.
Movie line of the week answer
There were a couple of brave souls that attempted an answer.
Our big winner was Tommy Williams, who correctly guessed...
Thanks for playing, see you next week.
Movie line of the week
I'm really struggling for movie lines these days. No time to sit and think about it. I happened across this one this morning, hint, hint...
Here it is...
Actor #1: God, you people work just like the mob! There's no difference.
Actor #2: Oh, there's a big difference, Mrs. de Marco. The mob is run by murdering, thieving, lying, cheating psychopaths. We work for the President of the United States of America.
Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here
