Actor #1: Where is your other hand?
Actor #2: Between two pillows...

Wanted: Job - [9:59 AM]

As of Friday I will be un-employed. It's strange the way things happen. I never really fit in here so in a way it's a good thing. I can move on, find something that I'll be able to fall in love with. That's how it was with Visio and it didn't happen here, this place was just a job, but it did put food on the table. Even as much as I hated coming here it did provide. So... off I go to start a new chapter. It's not the way I'd have chosen to do it but in some ways it was a favor.

So if anyone is in need of a C/C++/Win32/COM/now-using-C#-and-the-framework type coder I'm available for work. I'd plug myself as a coding generalist with a deep love of all things re-usable. I believe in opening products to developers, making them extensible, it's what I feel I do best. Contract stuff is good, full-time is better. I just want to find somewhere I fell like a contributor. A place I can succeed. A job that will take advantage of my skill set. A job that makes me so excited I can't wait to get up in the morning. I've been there before, I'd like to go back to it.

20th Century? - [8:17 PM]

Yes, it's true, Exeter has entered the 20th century. I'm typing this from a laptop with a wireless connection! Interesting, no it's not, folks have been doing it for YEARS. The big news is we now have DSL and it's fast!
