Don't count out Longhorn, yet.
There's been a bit of talk lately about the state of Longhorn. Now, I could be wrong, but I don't think we've seen the last of the Boy's and Girl's in Redmond, not by a long shot. There was a time when we'd all pretty much written off Apple. Their new OS, Copland, was late and they were behind the eight ball. I was one of a small group routing for them to purchase Be, instead they opted to purchase NeXT and as they say "The rest is history." I thought they'd never ship a new OS, but a few years later they shipped a rock solid operating system that would provide the foundation for many OS releases in the years to come. Because Apple stuck to their guns, and did it right, they're now releasing new OS's at a remarkable pace. That's what I believe the Longhorn effort could afford Microsoft. If they do it right, and stick to their guns, they could have a nice shiny new system that lends itself to rapid improvement.
We'll see in a couple years.
Is it just me or has Blogger been a bit unstable lately? I couldn't publish this morning, I don't know if it was a network issue or a Blogger issue, but it sure was frustrating.

Assistance for Dave
I just sent this to Dave to help him with getting his application to display its' window in a viewable area.
1) Alt-Tab to the application.
2) Press Alt, then the space bar.
3) Press 'M'
4) Use the arrow keys to move the window back to a viewable area.
5) Press Esc, or click somewhere when you're finished.
It should work.
Movie line of the week
Good morning movie liners!
This weeks line comes from a classic, a classic that includes a woman my wife calls my 'girlfriend'. Do you have what it takes figure it out?
Here it is, and good luck!
He'll regret it till his dying day, if ever he lives that long.

Out of disk space
Earlier this morning I was trying to post to my weblog and I got a message that I was out of disk space. Since I was at work I had to wait to get home to take care of it. I've been messing with it since I got home and couldn't get it fixed. The problem was I'd left the setting for un-assigned e-mail addresses alone when I setup my domain, big mistake! I had ~250MB's of junk-mail sitting in our domain mailbox. I tried to delete all the messages but it just wouldn't work. I finally opened a ticket with Hosting Matters to resolve the issue. In less than an hour they'd fixed the problem, at least I think it's fixed.
If you can read this post, the issue is resolved.
