.NET Compiler Resources? - [11:38 AM]

BuzzI ran across a post from Brad Abrams that announced a compiler writers development lab that happened back in February, but that was under NDA.

That got me Googling and I found this little gem. Time to go purchase a book.

Movie line of the week answer - [8:54 AM]

This weeks movie line must've been a real dud, but we did get one guess, and it was correct!

Aussie Sean Malloy is our big winner, thanks for playing Sean!

The correct answer is...

Moose provided this line in celebration of Jaws 30th anniversary.

Movie line of the week - [1:08 PM]

Hot buttered popcorn and a movie, ahhh!Sorry for the lateness, I have to keep you on your toes, right?

This weeks line comes from Moose, sorry Moose but you can't participate.

Here it is, good luck!

I'm not going to waste my time arguing with a man who's lining up to be a hot lunch.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Then there's Smalltalk - [9:12 AM]

James Robertson: "David Buck illustrates the richness of the Smalltalk libraries - and the comparative paucity of the C# and Java ones. Throw the "final" wrench into the mix and you get productivity loss." - How can you ignore a language this rich?

Calling all Linux gearheads. - [9:00 AM]

Watch out! It's a blog fly!Which distribution do you use, and why? I have an old box at home I'd like to get up and running with Linux for Ruby, and Boo, experimentation. The distribution I use needs to include, or have RPM's available for, the following tools.

1) Ruby
2) Boo
3) KDevelop - Having trouble getting this up on Mandrake 10.0
4) Mono
5) MonoDevelop
6) KDE

I'd like to use KDevelop for C/C++ stuff and I'm also interested in doing some C#. If I ever get around to doing my dynamic compiler a requirement will be running on Mono and .NET Framework. (I can't see this happening, but I can still dream about it.)

Is there a distribution that includes all this in one tight package?

Greatest American - [9:27 AM]

Discovery Channel: "Voting is now open for Greatest American, and this stage of the voting lasts through Monday, June 13." - I can't believe Bill Gates made the Top-25, strange. Especially with the likes of Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr, and Billy Graham in the running.

But then again, Bill is beginning to help the world.

Insurgents still hanging in there - [10:39 AM]

CNN: "U.S. Marines and Iraqi soldiers have uncovered a 503,000-square-foot underground insurgent hideout in central Iraq containing large stores of weapons, ammunition and supplies." - Dragons be here. Can you believe we've had our young men and women in harms way for two years?
