At last - [6:54 AM]

USA Today: "The age of Potter VI officially dawned Saturday, as millions of fans from sweaty New York to chilly Australia got their hands on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and began the darkest of J.K. Rowling's fantasy novels." - It would be extremely cool to be at one of the HUGE Potter parties. I need to convince my wife we need to attend one for book VII, London would be fine with me.

It's Potter time - [6:05 AM]

...Well not quite yet. Harry Potter and The Half-Blood PrinceWhen the pre-orders began for Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince Kim's sister asked us to help support her friend's bookstore by pre-ordering from her, so we did. Being a small provider of books means she doesn't have the shipping power of an Amazon and since her storefront is in D.C. we couldn't exactly pick the book up last night. So here I sit at 6:00AM knowing I'll have to wait until at least Monday evening to see the new book up close. What about the Borders Potter party? We didn't make it. I see James and his daughter did.

SO... Keep your Potter stories to yourself, I don't want to have to get my memory modified before my book arrives!Smile, life is good!

"Before we begin our banquet, IĀ?d like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you."

Happy reading, and don't worry, I won't be sharing any details of the book on this site.

Move line of the week answer - [9:00 AM]

Sorry for the lateness of yesterday's movie line. For some reason Blogger couldn't connect with my server. I got so busy I forgot to republish it! DOH!

Our big winner is Moose, congratulations Moose!

The correct answer is of course...

As Steven Vore said in his answer, "Even a Muggle like me knows that."

Movie line of the week - [9:01 AM]

NOTE: I had trouble posting this earlier, sorry it's so late.

Roll film!Happy Thursday! That can mean only one thing! It's movie line time...

Today's selection was a NO BRAINER, given the tone of my entries this week. (That's a huge hint BTW.)

Ready, set, guess!

Search the skies if you must, Minister, but now I think I'll have a nice cup of tea, or a large brandy. Oh, and executioner, your services are no longer required. Thank you.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

It's a Potter-mad world - [8:49 AM]

HPANA: "A boy in upstate New York was accidentally allowed to buy a copy of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' in a drug store on Tuesday, ahead of Saturday's official release. " - Whoops, another slip-up! It would be nice to actually score the book early, that way my wife and daughter could BOTH be finished reading it by Saturday so I could get my shot at it!

Sometimes being a slow reader stinks.

Lots of Potter news - [8:54 AM]

Harry Potter, boy wizardWe're close, very darned close, to the release of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince. I myself will be enjoying Potter festivities at the Visalia Borders Friday evening with my youngest daughter.

There's been a lot of action in the past few days.

"'Half-Blood Prince' has escaped in Canada" - Ouch!
"Jim Dale on the 'Today Show'" - Unfortunately I missed this, time to get a TiVO. Jim Dale is pure genius.
"Potted Potter, A quick catch-up on the last five books" - Crib notes for those of you that haven't read the series.
"Who do you think the Half-Blood Price is?" - My two cents, Dumbledore.
