Movie line of the week - [9:17 AM]

Roll film!Ok, I lied on that last post.

Here's today's movie line, then I'm out for the remainder of the day.

Good luck!

Actor #1: Do you have any idea how fast you were going?
Actor #2: Funny enough, I was just talking to my friend about that. Our speedometer has melted and as a result it's very hard to see with any degree of accuracy exactly how fast we were going.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Breaking News: NFL - [10:44 AM]

ESPN.com: "An arbitrator has upheld the Philadelphia Eagles' four-game suspension of Terrell Owens, and the team has the right to deactivate him." - There's one for the good guys. Oh, and Mr. Owens, you need to fire that slime of an agent you're using.

Congratulations Girls! - [9:00 AM]

Visalia Times Delta: "Exeter pulls off upset." - My daughter plays on the JV volleyball team at E.U.H.S. so I had the privilege of watching the older girls play this year. They're VERY good and thanks to the upset they're off to San Diego this weekend to play the next round.

Good luck girls!

HP laptop problems, again! - [8:52 AM]

I'm working from home today and I desperately need my home laptop to work. Problem is we're having the same darned power connector problem we had back in May. It's only been six months since we PAID to have it repaired. This time around HP had better fix it on their dime.

We're not the only folks that have had this problem BTW.

Ruby Editor - [9:22 AM]

Ruby on RailsWe have a team at work that's working on internal tools to make cross group communication better. They're using Ruby on Rails as their primary platform. One of the developers on the project turned me on to RadRails, an IDE for Ruby on Rails development. It's an Eclipse based environment, very nice.

Enjoy.

Potter Reviews - [8:54 AM]

It looks as if Ms. Rowling's boy wizard is making a huge splash at the box office! I'd posted some concerns the other day and had some great feedback in comments from folks that have seen the movie, thanks guys.

Here are some reviews, enjoy!

James Robertson: "In my opinion, this is a movie well worth going to - run, don't walk."

USA Today: "The climactic scene where Harry duels with Voldemort packs an emotional wallop, as does Harry sobbing over the body of a competitor."

NY Times: "As good as these actors are, nothing prepares you for the malevolent force that is Lord Voldemort and the brilliance of the actor playing him, Ralph Fiennes. Dressed in a flowing black robe that seems to float off his body rather than hang, Mr. Fiennes moves with lissome grace, his smooth white head bobbing like a cork on a sea, his fluttery hands and feet as pale and bright as beacons."

I'll see you Friday afternoon. Smile, life is good!
