RawSugar - [5:04 PM]

It's been quite a while since I've used RawSugar, but it's a very exciting service. I've now included a link in the right column to My RawSugar Favorites.

A question for Bill, can we add a link to our posts, like a comments link, that could allow folks to add our blog posts to their RawSugar Favorites?

You fellas ok? - [4:29 PM]

I'm a big fan of Michael Geary and Mike Sax, but they've been very quiet as of late.

A wonderful boquet of flowers.I pray all is well with you and your families, and hope you get back to blogging when you have the time. You're both missed in the blogosphere.

I'm looking forward to Mr. Geary sharing his Drupal tricks and tips so I can use it for my lovely wife's new venture: HackerWidow.ORG.

All you classic VB'ers should visit Mr. Sax and check out his list of unusual, and rock-solid, components to make your development life easier. My two favories, QuickPak and the Sax ActiveX Scripting Control(wicked cool, IMHO.)

Personal Media Players - [1:05 PM]

Scripting News: "But the iPod can't be made to care what the filename is, so it plays them in the order of the ID3 info, which is almost completely random because the ripper has no idea that the eight CDs are actually one big document." - For me this is an absolute with whatever personal media player I purchase be it iPod or other. It seems logical for a player to told to play files by name, e.g. track. It's no secret I'm a Harry Potter freak and when we travel Jim Dale's reading of Harry Potter books are a must have. I've been drooling over a device that would allow me to rip our entire collection of Harry Potter books on tape to it so we can carry Harry everywhere we go.

My FeedDemon 2.0 Wish - [12:32 PM]

Christmas lamp post.I've been a FeedDemon user for a while now, sorry I don't know the exact date, but it's become one of those applications that runs all day, every day. In short it's a beautifully crafted application. Hats off Nick, you're a developers developer.

Since you're giving us a little teaser of FeedDemon 2.0 I thought I'd ask for something. Are you ready?

Support for IBlogExtension plugins.

I know it's a .NET assembly based architecture but it wouldn't take too much for you to glue it to FeedDemon.

Just a thought.

Movie line of the week answer - [8:56 AM]

Yesterday's line wasn't from a Christmas movie, as had been the trend this month, but it was from a great family movie.

Our big winner was once again James Robertson. James has a winning streak matched by no other, congratulations James!

The line was from...

Thanks for playing, come back next week!

It's not an egg, no really, it's not. - [10:44 AM]

I got an e-mail from an old friend, and fellow ex-Visio'ite, the other day about this post back in 2002. Here's what he had to say...

EggThere were two more between Visio 2000 and Visio 2002 (removed in Visio 2003). I added them and I removed them. To see them draw two crossing dynamic connectors (to get a line jump), show the page sheet, and set LineJumpStyle to:

34: "X" line jumps - my tribute to Xavier McDaniel

99: Visio logo line jumps

I remember those two little nuggets, but didn't really consider them Easter Eggs in a pure sense. These little additions were actually functional, they were just hidden. If you have either Visio 2000 or Visio 2002 and are comfortable with the ShapeSheet give it a go.

Microsoft has a pretty hard core policy on Easter Eggs, get caught and you'll find yourself fired.

Movie line of the week - [9:03 AM]

Hot buttered popcorn and a movie, ahhh!Kim and I watched the movie this line is from a couple of nights ago. I was going to use a different line from the film but I couldn't remember what it was, DOH!

Good luck!

It was a typical wedding: enemies of the bride on the right, enemies of the groom on the left.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Action Hero? - [1:31 PM]

You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.
