Bummer, looks like Mr. Vore stumped everyone, zero takers!

What would you expect of Slashdot? - [9:29 AM]

Slashdot: "60% Of Windows Vista Code To Be Rewritten" - If you've ever written a stitch of code you know this is NOT possible, or probable.

Movie line of the week - [8:05 AM]

Roll film! This weeks line comes from a long time friend, and pirate, Steven Vore. It sounded so familiar but I couldn't put a finger on it, hopefully one of you will.

Here it is...

I only speak two languages - English and Bad English.

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Tolerance - [9:28 AM]

MSNBC: "Abdul Rahman, 41, has been charged with rejecting Islam, a crime under this country's Islamic laws. His trial started last week and he confessed to becoming a Christian 16 years ago. If convicted, he could be executed." - Islam is such a tolerant religion. The thing is, if this man is killed in the name of Christianity he will have died a glorious death for his Savior.

They're making a martyr, a.k.a a Jesus Freak.

Vista Delayed - [4:57 PM]

CNNMoney: "Microsoft Corp. said on Tuesday it plans to delay the consumer launch of its much-anticipated Windows Vista operating system to January 2007 from its earlier target of the second half of 2006, sending its shares down nearly 3 percent." - Ouch. It's weird seeing a report like this so soon after announcing we'd have it by year end.

That's ok, I'd like it to be solid. I'm also hopeful we'll see regular updates throughout the year, like Apple has done with OS-X.

Time to find a new team - [9:34 AM]

ESPN: "Jerry Jones was finishing yet another explanation of why he thinks Terrell Owens will be on his best behavior with the Dallas Cowboys when his new star receiver chimed in." - I know it doesn't matter to the Cowboys organization, but they've just lost a fan. I've been a Cowboys fan since Tony Dorsett joined the team in 1977, but when you sign one of the most selfish athletes to ever play organized sports it's time for my to sign-off as a fan.

Good luck Dallas, let's see if the Big Tuna will put up with T.O's antics, I hope he doesn't, and I hope T.O. gets sent packing soon. You've tainted a rich tradition Mr. Jones, do the good people of Dallas a favor and sell the franchise to someone that'll protect the legacy, not destroy it.

Green with envy - [1:51 PM]

Intel Core Duo.Steven Vore: "Now, here I am about 23 years through this computer career of mine, and finally I have something I've never had before. I've had dozens of PCs and several Macs at the office. I've had more than my share of PCs and a few Macs at home, but now I've finally got... A Mac of my own." - My-oh-my, I wish I had a Mac. I have many friends that have switched to Mac and they absolutely love the experience. The new Mac's have something for everyone. If you're an inexperienced user it's easy, if you're a bit-head you have the power of Unix under the hood. Someday, oh yes, someday I'll have a beautiful Mac to call my own.
