Movie line of the week answer - [10:55 AM]

This weeks winner is my lovely wife Kim! Congratulations Hon!

She gave her answer verbally last night after I got home, and since we didn't get any answers I've decided to declare her the winner. I am, after all, the decider when it comes to MLOTW.

Question for Mr. Scoble - [9:45 AM]

Robert, why don't you answer your e-mail any longer? Has it become such a horrible way to communicate you've abandoned it as a form or communication? It wouldn't surprise me if you have. Hopefully this will catch your eye.

Anywho, I sent you an e-mail about a week ago and asked if you could do a piece on your podcasting setup, and while you're at it could you create a repository of resources used in creating podcasts? I'd like to know what people are using to do theirs because I've been thinking of starting one myself. Thanks.

The other thing I asked was if you could take your show to the folks at CodeGear to see what they're up to. I'd guess there's a whole lot of buzz on their campus, and I'd be very interested in hearing what they're up to.

Thanks Robert.

Movie line of the week - [10:19 AM]

And.... ACTION!Yes, this is an easy one, event without IMDB or Google at your fingertips. It's Christmas time after all! It's a time of giving!

Good luck!

The nerve of those Whos. Inviting me down there - and on such short notice. Even if I wanted to go my schedule wouldn't allow it. Four o'clock, wallow in self pity; 4:30, stare into the abyss; 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one. 5:30, jazzercize. 6:30, dinner with me. I can't cancel that again. 7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing; I'm booked. Of course, if I bump the loathing to 9 I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip slowly into madness. But what would I wear?

Ok, quick, what movie! Send your guesses here.

Persian Gulf buildup - [2:10 PM]

MSNBC: "WASHINGTON - The U.S. Central Command is aggressively planning a naval buildup in the Persian Gulf, including the addition of a second aircraft carrier, in response to a series of aggressive actions by Iran, U.S. military officials told NBC News on Tuesday."

Blitzkrieg? Not really. - [9:28 AM]

MSNBC: "But the Joint Chiefs think the White House, after a month of talks, still does not have a defined mission and is latching on to the surge idea in part because of limited alternatives, despite warnings about the potential disadvantages for the military, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the White House review is not public."

Wii over XBox or PS3? - [9:14 AM]

James Robertson: "Sure, the graphics are better on the XBox 360 and the PS3; but that doesn't really matter. For me, the game play is everything, and that really came out in the Wii Sports game. The golf game was so much better than the GameCube (or PS2) one - you actually swing the Wii-mote to take the shots, and that makes it so much more fun." - James nails it. Kim and I still drag out our N64 to play Mario Cart. Why? It's not realistic looking, but it's just a ton-o-fun to play. That's where Nintendo went right with this system. They hit the fun factor on the head. They're also very good at creating worlds wrapped around interesting characters.

Is it just me? - [12:44 PM]

This is part of my daily strategery. Is it just me or does the President's obsession with his place in history bother you too? IMHO, he'll be remembered, just not the way he wants to be remembered.

On a side note. I was surprised to find a number of President Bush inspired greeting cards at a local Target yesterday. They're very funny and not flattering to the President at all.

Hon, this is what I'd consider a great home office setup.
