I received my new Anderson RocketTech on Friday afternoon, unfortunately I wasn't able to use it until last night. Since the team we were playing had to forfeit we took a little batting practice and I'm pleased to report the bat performed very well. I didn't hit any deep shots but I'm sure once I've hit a few more balls and gotten a bit more familiar with the feel of the bat I'll be able to stroke a ball as far as I can with my DeMarini Distance.
Overall the bat feels nice in hand. The handle is really thin and the knob is super small making for a very nice feel, in my humble opinion. The bat is reported to be balanced but I noticed a definite weight difference at the end; not like an end-loaded bat however, just a slight difference. When you contact the ball it doesn't ring your hands, like the DeMarini Ultimate Weapon I swung last week. One strange thing I noticed was the amount of knuckle balls I hit? The balls rotation just stopped after contact which I thought was very odd. I've seen that before but not with such frequency. Another thing to note about the bat is the shell wall does warp a bit with use, but from what I've heard that's normal with Anderson bats. I'll have to follow up with the company to see what they say.
Overall I'm quite pleased with it's performance. It's a definite keeper.
